I'm Claudia (29) from Austria. After finishing my midwifery studies a few months ago, I have been traveling in Asia. Having been a tourist for most of the time, I missed the "real"/ more authentic contact with locals as well as being able to communicate with them in English, because I do not speak any Asian languages. So I started shorter volunteer projects again to get in touch wirh local people and I am also back on Couchsurfing. Recently I arrived in Russia and I hope to get to meet some of you and have some lovely, inspiring, fun exchanges.

I love to be outside, hiking, cycling, wandering around in the beauty of creation.
Rather from the spontaneous type, open for the wonders of Life that occur, when I do not interfere with plans.
I come from an idyllic village in Austria, where I lived most of my life with my family of eight. Always I have spent a lot of time in the beautiful landscape around me - rather untouched. I am grateful to see beauty and enjoy it, where some do not seem to recognize it.

I'm an an optimistic person, honest and I love to laugh. I trust in life and I trust in the kindness of strangers. Most importantly to me, is how I see and treat my fellow human beings and creation, to stay connected to my centre, where Love and Joy and Peace abide ~ now

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to get to know local people, learn about (or share) their lifestyle, exploring freely. I'm not too interested in doing tourist stuff. I‘ve called myself a traveler for years, a nomad enjoying to meet locals, sharing beautiful moments and good conversations. Being in a different chapter of life now, I still enjoy these very things.

To me it doesn't matter too much, where I go but who I meet and spend time with means a lot.
Sometimes I'd stay for months with a family I just fitted in and where my helping hands have been highly appreciated. This way I’ve learned about cultures and traditions in a deeper way, which I enjoy a lot. And what I learned as well is that wonderful people, like-minded people, beautiful places are to be found everywhere.
Letting go with Gratitude and moving on.

It amazes me how many great connections I have been able to meet thanks to this website.

Interests

I enjoy to sing and to come together for that purpose. Discovering traditional or folk music in different places I enjoy.
Enjoying to be by myself, I as well appreciate the company of good friends, strangers, to spend time with my family. I like to listen to others' points of view and I am happy to learn from them and I am happy to share my ideas aswell.
There is something about spending time with grandmothers and grandfathers, that I appreciate a lot. For me it's beautiful to talk to people way older than me - carrying so much history in them, life experience, some a whole lot of wisdom.
Fascinated about children, their presence, their lightness and joy.

I love music and I listen to almost every kind of music.
If take the time I really enjoy reading. I have read some really good literature, but I don't have a favorite book (yet?)
