About Me
Hey all! I am originally from South-Africa but been in the States since Dec 2015. My brother is coming to visit me in December for two weeks before we will go back home together. I would love to use this website to have him experience the city through the eyes of someone who lives there. We can share with you some of our language as well as our open and welcome culture. I personally love doing yoga, traveling, reading and just being with people. I'm excited to get to know you!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The reason I am couchsurfing is probably the same as everyone else who wants to do it. My brother is coming to visit me in December and I am planning on taking him to New York and Washington DC for a few days. The reason I want to take him couch surfing instead of staying in a hotel is because I think this will be wonderful for both of us to experience and see these cities through the eyes of a local. I want to know your favorite eating places, coffee shops and hang out places!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music varies almost every day. It all depends on the mood I am in. The genres that I really like is between pop music, country and acoustic music (my mood at the moment). I really love reading, you can catch me with a good book. I am constantly reading and just enjoy it so much, it is the best escape for me. The type of books I read vary from inspirational books, comedy and (obviously) romantic books - which woman doesnt like a good love story? I also read and study my bible every day (that is an "all-in-one" kinda book. Where movies are concerned, I dont really watch movies. I feel like the time to watch a movie is better used hanging out with friends, doing yoga or reading. When I do decide to watch a movie, it would probably be something light and funny. I also enjoy the romantic comedy or drama every once in a while too (surprise surprise ;))
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done still feels surreal to me. In 2010 I got chosen to represent South-Africa in Germany for the 2010 World Archery Championship. My dad and I traveled to this really small town most Germans dont even know about to compete in this competition. It was hard work leading up to it as well as the five days we spent shooting. It was the best time of my life!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
With hosts I can share my love for my country, my language and my culture. I can also share with you my love for your country but I'm sure you would love to know a bit more about my dear South-Africa.
