I’m from Bonn, Germany but I currently live in Madison, CT. I’m working in the states as an AuPair and I love travelling. It has become a passion to me and I always enjoy getting to know new people and share each other’s story!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore the world in a different way than the common hotel/hostel experience. I think you really experience way more in having a cultural exchange while staying with people you get to know that you yet don’t know.
Currently not able to host given that I live where I work but when I’ll be back in Germany in my new home I will welcome the surfers in their journey through Germany!

Interests

I am a passionate Photographer who is also passioned about Videography, meaning that I enjoy taking clips, editing a nice video with a fitting song and share it with the world.
Besides that I recently got that feeling about the need of a more environmental consciousness in myself. I realised that I wanted to make a personal change regarding environmental behaviour. That made me also realise that starting with yourself is the best way to make a change and taking more people on your life changing journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listing to almost every music genre but the ones I enjoy mostly are chill house, jazz, classical and EDM.
I love going to the cinema. Specially here in America I’ve been more often to the movies in the last 10 months than in the last 5 years living in Germany! The experience Here is just more immersive!
A movie I really like and enjoyed watching was Shaft. Samuel L. Jackson proved his amazing acting skills once again!
Books have unfortunately decreased by the time. I am trying to catch up again with reading more often!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I went for the first time to Africa, to the country of Morocco. It was an incredible experience where I learned so many new things about the people and made some friends as well!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching? Not that I’m a teacher but I can share my experiences and my progress on how to overcome daily problems and one of the biggest of em all: Procrastination.
I think all of us can and will learn on a daily basis but I am convinced that we learn a lot more when travelling and exchanging culture and experiences with people.
Something that I haven’t really seen as teaching before was helping with languages. Besides English I also speak German and Spanish. If someone enjoys practicing one of these languages or both you are more than welcome to ask me any question you have!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share funny stories about my life experiences in South America but besides telling those I also enjoy having a deep conversation about life changing questions and essential topics about life we don’t usually get to talk about while living in our daily routine.
