I love cycling, travelling, and reading!

Together with my husband, Oliver Hirtenfelder, I have cycled in South Korea, Vietnam, China, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. We have also back packed through Europe and Asia! Finally, I have lived in South Korea and Sweden and now Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While cycling the number of people who helped us with a meal and a home was unbelievable. Couch-surfing is a way of paying it forward. Myself and Oliver have hosted several couch-surfers (on his profile) and we enjoy the conversation and opportunity to meet people busy with their own adventures.

Interests

I have lots of interests. I enjoy philosophical discussions about different ideas, identities and current affairs. Most of the time I am busy with my PhD work and my days are full of things to do. I try to fit in a cycle at least once a week and enjoy reading very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling 6,000kms across Asia, swimming with whalesharks in Mozambique, and eating awesome food in China!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Myself and my husband stay in a small apartment in Kingston, Canada.

We have a sleeper couch in the living room and can provide a clean, safe space to sleep the night.
