PHILOSOPHY

#Grouchomarxism #Dudeism #Epicureanism
I'm very easy-going, I don't like to worry about all the little things; instead I prefer laughing. I believe that sense of humor is essential and that you should have good friends to laugh with. I believe that you shouldn't own many useless things because the less you have, the happier you are, but I also think that you should have enough money not to worry about (not a lot, just enough). Last but not least, you should always have a slice of time for yourself, to think and to wonder, or just to relax lying on a Persian rug listening to recordings of bowling tournaments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting, activities in Siena

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've mainly hosted csers in these last three years and I've surfed just once but I'm planning on reverse this fact

Interests

I'm interested in outdoor activities and also in being lazy on my couch but I usually feel better after a long hike than after a whole afternoon watching TV shows (depending on the season).
I really enjoy being in the nature, mountain or sea, I like them both. I really like walking and I'm fascinated by the possibility of walk through long distances like medieval pilgrims or ancient Romans did, following forgotten paths (and also well-known paths like the St.James's Way or the Via Francigena) so I'd like to meet people who have done this kind of experience. Generally speaking I love any kind of travel experience.
I like eating and cooking and I also aim to be as much responsible as can as a consumer, that's why I try to eat local and organic. I've got a passion for handicraft especially with recycled stuffs; you don't need to buy new things (most of the times), you can find anything you need if you try to be creative. A friend said that I create odd but useful stuffs (and it's true that I sometime forget about design ^^ ).
I also like donkeys and beer!

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly rock, post-rock, hard-rock, punk and new wave. I love cinema and movies, over all,Mel Brooks's Young Frankenstein is my favourite; I also like Gilliam, Anderson, Coen Bros, Salvatores, Jeunet, Gondry, Cronenberg, Antonioni and I absolutely love the Monty Python's Flying Circus; I spend a lot of precious time watching tv series. One of my favourite novels is Hesse's Siddharta; I also like Calvino, Pennac, Vonnegut, Benni, Adams, Verne, Moravia, Poe, Marjane Satrapi, Hugo Pratt and Tiziano Sclavi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solar eclipse in Salisbury; cycling across Inishmore (Aran Islands, Ireland) in the rain; scuba diving at Scoglio del Corallo (Grosseto, Italy); Sigur Ros performing at Verona; a two weeks long surf trip without surfing at all; sleeping in the Pyrenees

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn other languages and culture and recipes. I could teach how to make awesome origami frogs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

*I may be more free to have guests during the weekend*
I like to host travellers if I have the time to enjoy their company so if I'm busy I usually prefer to decline requests.
I like to show the city and the surroundings according to my experience and knowledge.

Countries I’ve Visited
