ABOUT ME

I'm new to couchsurfing, and to travel in general. The most I've done is a week long road trip to the Grand Canyon 4 years ago. Recently got sent to Hawaii for my job, and it's amazing. Right now I'm just looking forward to meeting new people, seeing new things, and maybe have some good food along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Grand Canyon covered in 3 feet of snow was humbling. I came from the coastal plains, where the only terrain was forest. Standing on a rock hanging over the cliff, I looked down and saw Phantom Ranch a mile below me. It was incredible.

As far as awestruck? Those moments are limited to when I begin to wonder if I will survive my current situation. Standing on the edge of the a massive cliff, getting ready to jump into the murky water. Doing barrel rolls and loops in a plane with no engine. The moment when I know I'm about to hit the car that just pulled out in front of me, only to stop with inches to spare. Those first few flips out of the plane when the only thing I can hear is the wind rushing past. Those moments leave me awestruck. Those are the moments that make me feel alive, refreshed, and ready to conquer the world.
