ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Clayton and I'm a life-a-holic! Haha

I like to live, be free and just enjoy my time here on our beautiful planet. :) Brown hair and eyes, nearly 6ft but not quite (like 2 cm short), olive skin and straight teeth! :)

I like all sorts of music and go to a lot of festivals ranging from live music to electronic music. I read a lot of fantasy but am getting really into non fiction lately. I love sports and am always down to get wet (and probably dirty too). I studied engineering and so I love to know how things work, to fix things and to make things!

I work on yachts around the world so I dont stay put for very long and am always on the move. I meet loads of people all the time and I love to make new friends as I go along! Sharing information is the key to expanding your mind!

PHILOSOPHY

I dont believe in regret. I see every experience as a learning curve. Yes, they aren't always nice or happy but the key is to see the lesson in it and move forward with that in your life!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled through India with my brother. We met some amazing people, couchsurfed wherever we could and as it was my first CS trip, I was instantly hooked!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once watched a troop of Baboons scuttle off into a forest and forget a baby lagging behind. Not a moment after they'd all disappeared the alpha male came charging out the brush, grabbed the baby by the scruff of the neck and flung it somersaulting through the air... only to land perfectly on his back as he turned and rushed into the thicket once more. That was amazing!

Skydived alone from 4000ft.
Bunjee jumped 216m, one of the highest in the world.

I like to take a gift to the person where I'm staying. Whether its a case of beer or a tray of cupcakes from the baker down the street, it doesn't matter. It shows you're not just there to use them and that you have a sound foundation of manners and respect.

I really love to share information about South Africa because many people have a bad idea of what South Africa is like and I want to teach and show people that it is one of the best places in the world!

Always carry a headtorch. Reason being you might not know where the lights are in the house and so you wont walk into anything looking for them or disturb anyone.
