About Me
(Edit 2024)
Hi, it's Clement and Amel :)
Clement :
Born in 1988, I'm scorpio. But the cool kind of scorpio haha !
I've spent most of my life in France but had the chance to experience different lives abroad but I stopped now for a pretty damn good reason: we are building our house from a 1780 old ruin in one of the most rural area of France, using most of natural material and ancient techniques.
I'm an easy going guy, ' open to different lifestyles; cultures and religions. My main goal is to do my best to live off grid and break our chains towards the capitalist society, try to find alternative ways of doing things, making our own stuff with our hands; and learn how to be really free, but its really hard lol
So right now I'm basically working most of my time on our land, on the house and on a little cabin that we want to finish this year to be able to live on the property. You're more than welcome to have a look and give a hand if you want to learn some stuff about old-school style of construction:))))
Towards work :
I'm a freelancer Filmmaker who works mainly with weddings; music video, documentary, and of course, travels but I work for many different projects too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We decided to try couchsurfing 'cause we were on a long trip and we tried to cut the budget of accommodation off; as we try to cut off the transportation one (hitch hiking).
Then, we understood the real meaning of couchsurfing : solidarity, help, friendship, knowledge. If we wouldnt have used CS, our travel wouldn't have been the same and we would have regretted it for sure... Thanks to everyone and this awesome community
(btw, you can watch my stuff here !!!! Www.clementsollier.com)
Now that I have a proper place to live, with enough space, I'm so keen to give the hand back by hosting some lost travelers. If they are curious enough to come to one of the less inhabited place of France:)
