we are riding the Oregon/California Coast to celebrate our 20+ years shared lives and shared bicycling (no car). It is sharing life, lovingly(usually) that matters to me

ABOUT ME

We live between Westminster College and the University of Utah (walk bus bike) in a small 1924 brick tudor home. We have college kids sharing our home on a regular basis, sharing laundry facilities, yard, and harvest from grapevines and fruit trees, seasonally.

We want to travel more as we get older and can get away more easily. And we want to enjoy traveling vicariously through the adventures of others on the move. It is our hope that we can share our spare room:
closet, shared bath, fold out futon, that sleeps one or two, and visit with people of all ages from around this country and the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can show people around Salt Lake City, the center of the Mormon Cultural History, and headquarters for this faith. On your own, Skiers and Boarders come here do Alta, Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird... The Sundance film festival is in Park City, You'll need your own car for Park City only. All other spots are available by public transit and bike. We have two bikes for share.

I am able to mediate disputes for parties needing that service and can do telephonic conferencing. If you need that service please feel free to contact me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we are just beginning now. Dave's nephew and his significant other, law students in N. Carolina now, told us what a wonderful time they had had with this program, so when we found ourselves traveling we decided to see if we might enjoy sharing homes and stories as well.

Interests

myths, wine making, traveling, life stories and life journeys, natural foods, vegetarian when we cook and open to others preparing their favorites in joint cooking adventures. Simple living.... I do astrological charts, no prophesy, just energies at work between each person and the greater cosmos fyi.

Jazz on the radio while playing scrabble without keeping score. Garrison Keeler's prairie home companion. Just finished "Water for Elephants" and now reading "A Thousand White Women" We wait to see movies until they come out on DVD. comedies,adventures, we have all the die hard stuff...
Nature series Planet Earth, and Blue Planet... beautiful, some local lore movies including a video about a scandalous mouthed mormn elder, J. Golden Kimball....and some amazing things on Yellowstone. We subscribe to New Yorker Magazine, Worldwatch and Yoga

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had/known two sons, exquisitly alive and whole.
