About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i'm counting the days to go backpack again

ABOUT ME

I'm a Malaysian Muslim but have lived in Seoul for almost 5 years. I'll finish my undergraduate study in chemical engineering in a few months time, and I'm still considering whether to remain living in Korea or to work elsewhere. I love my life in Korea, enjoy the food and the people. I've been saving the scholarship money I received to go backpack to at least one country per year and after a trip, I'll usually be broke but rich in experience :)
I love to meet people, and I'm easy to like people.

I don't drink and I don't smoke, but I don't mind people who do..in fact, I always went to drinking places with Koreans, you don't have to be drunk to enjoy the night, right.

As of July 2008, I am very free. I spent the days going out, meeting friends or staying at home, reading books, surfing the net... the plan was to do an internship but I failed the interview :(

PHILOSOPHY

I've made this statement as my personal philosophy,(since few years ago hehe)-it's a line from a Korean song "내 인생은 beautiful,가끔쓰러져도 wonderful"(read: my life is beautiful, eventhough I do fall sometimes)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was excited about my trip to India next week and I searched for the meaning of backpack in wikipedia. when I scrolled down, I saw the link to couchsurfing, clicked on it, read the meaning and I signed in.hehhe.
never thought this kind of thing exist.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm not sure if I'm ready to couchsurf at anybody's home yet, but I would love to meet people, walk around together and have a chat over a meal.

Interests

I travelled abroad for about a month every summer.

I spend my free time watching funny videos on youtube and korean tv shows(they're hillarious-that's probably the thing I'll be missing the most if I leave Korea).

I enjoy reading news, articles and gossips on Internet sites.

Music, Movies, and Books

my favourite movie of all time-Good Will Hunting

music-i listen to all kinds of music, but well, it depends on what mood I'm in.

books: I used to read books with love as its main
theme but had recently shifted to books about travel and ones that cover more serious topics.

am reading two books right now:
1) Beyond the Three Seas-Travellers' tales of Mughal India
2) Butter chicken in Ludhiana-Travels in Small Town India

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

many things :) that make me smile when i think about them again..such as
1) walking and spending time in places I've been..which could probably done only once in a lifetime.
2) numerous magnificent science innovations and technology, i always wonder about how did those people came out with the ideas of producing something new and strange.
