ABOUT ME

Curious (just like Curious George the monkey!), like dry hot or cold weather, mountains, like to read books and road signs in equal measure; When traveling, I get cranky when I see 'ugly Americans' behaving badly and spoiling my home country's image! (So stop, please.)

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live! Life's what you make of it, it is up to me to create the environment for the best in to happen, and be open to change and enjoy what is good from it. While all of that is exceptionally corny, it is also very true.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe that responsible CouchSurfing* (having fun (lots!), trying out new food/drinks, meeting people in new places and showing them your environments)can make the world a better, more understandable place to live in.

*I'm really not ^that^ responsible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, we have only hosted and not surfed. Our two surfers have been ideal guests, and every bit as great as the CS experience should be.

Past travels that could have benefited from CS:

A train bench overnight in Halle, Germany is not a couch. Just sayin'.
Sleeping over a barn in Switzerland was the best nights' sleep I have ever had. Stayed in Paris on someone's floor (Thierry LeClou, thank you!), it was paradise after biking the previous night all night to avoid the cost of a hotel (this is not the best way to save money). 4:am is the lowest tide of a day!

Interests

I enjoy listening and exploring new music, where the music came from, and the people who made it! I am an artist who photographs, and I like to capture images in unique and creative ways. I love watching my children grow and experience new things, I try to re-enjoy things I have already experienced, and learn them anew.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Biking in europe; London/Paris/Belgium/Netherlands/Cz Republic- Visiting Prague in 1994, and seeing a city in transformation; 2. Seeing my first son being born, 3. Watching a photograph being exposed inside a pinhole camera.
