ABOUT ME

We are both friendly, relaxed and flexible people. Linke is more impulsive than Cobus who likes to think things through a little longer. Our family and friends are very important to us. We both enjoy talking to and meeting new people. We both like to spend time on our own occassionally to "recharge", which would make us introverts. We both are extremely fond of learning new things, and seeing new places.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment we are just starting out with CS, but we are looking forward to explore what CS is all about. At the moment we would like to surf and make new friends. But in the near future, when we have the capacity, we would like to host CS friends as well.

Sports: Cobus loves and also played almost any kind of sport with a ball involved, and also played underwater hockey; Linke plays tennis and netbal, and enjoys joggingArt: Linke likes to paintMusic: Linke plays the pianoComputers: Cobus enjoys learning about the newest technology available, he actually likes programming (where Linke does not, but has to as part of her studies)Reading: we both like to read, but won't go so far as to say we've got a huge list of books readNature: we both enjoy spending time in nature, seeing animals, camping, hiking trails, especially where there are mountains and sea!!Food: Cobus enjoys cooking delicious meals and making yummy dessert, especially cheese cake

Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Wit, The Mission, Lord of the Rings, Bella, Life is Beautiful, Jean de Florette, Chocolat, Gladiator, The Bourne trio, Italion Job, Forest Gump, Shrek, A Bug's Life, Antz... (yip, have to admit we do like "kids" movies)Books: We both like to read fantasy (Robert Jordon, JR Tolkien, CS Lewis). We both like to read Christian religious books. Linke also enjoyed reading for example The Book Thief, Poisonwood Bible, Sophie's World, The Hiding place, Infidel, Mere Christianity.Music: We can enjoy most peaceful music, but are most fond about Classical music and music with deep and meaningful lyrics.

Doing a few overnight walking trails in South Africa - quite an experience!
Working and travelling in the UK for 2 years after graduation.
Climbing a mountain is always amazing.
Being married is amazing.
5 day river rafting trip on the Orange river, South Africa.
Staying in Murren, Switzerland.
Venice!
Staying for a week in a local Xhosa family's hut in the coastal region of Transkei (the wild coast), South Africa.
Attending a 3 day oil painting course by Dale Elliot, a South African artist.
Watching a sunset in the Karoo, a semi-desert area in South Africa.
Playing the piano.
Singing Handel's Messias as a member of the choir Canticum Novum.
