ABOUT ME

We´re a recently married couple who have given up everything (job, home, cat) to take a very decadent year-long honeymoon around the world. Obviously we love travelling and exploring new places, meeting new people, learning about local cultures (and beers)...we´re social animals...we love music, bars, clubs, restuarants and funny people.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem - sieze the day! Work to live, don´t live to work. You´ve only got one chance at life...enjoy it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to CS, had our first experiences in Sao Paulo recently just meeting up with other CS´ers - it was great, Brazilian people are SO FRIENDLY!

Travel, music (all sorts - funk, house, breaks, disco, live bands), dj-ing (we´re vinyl junkies), eating out, clubs, festivals, snowboarding, sports (participating and watching, although more of the latter these days), the outdoors (trekking, exploring), arts and culture (movies, theatre, museums, galleries, pubs).

We LOVE music, listening to it and playing it on our Technics. Funk, house, soul, breaks and beats, disco- anything with a beat and some juicy bass that gets us dancing! Love seeing live bands/acts, really enjoy going to music festivals. To name a few of our faves -Arctic Monkeys, Maximo Park, Chemical Brothers, Faithless, Jamiroquai, Kasabian, The Killers, Zero 7, Groove Armada, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Roy Ayers, Amp Fiddler, Jamie Liddell, Kraak n Smaak, Stevie Wonder, The Bays; DJs - A Skillz, Krafty Kuts, Soul of Man, Ursula 2000, 4Hero, DJ Marky, Ashley Beedle, Tom Middleton. You get the picture...MUSIC IS THE FOOD OF LIFE!!!

Films - sci fi, action, good laugh-out-loud comedy, classics, things that make you go ´hmmm´.

Books - love reading - fiction, historical, biographies, classic literature.

We got married in the Caribbean, gave up everything in the UK and embarked on a year-long adventure together. Already seen some pretty amazing things (the Inca trail to Machu Picchu probably highlight to date on this trip) and looking for more!
