ABOUT ME

I believe I'm one of those open, approachable people. I'm the guy that people come up to to ask directions or to ask what time it is. I guess it's my non-threatening face that does that. :))

I strongly believe that you learn very little by mixing all the time with people that are the same as you. I've had a love of travelling since an early age (my father worked for an airline so travel was always on the cards). There's nothing I like to do more than people-watch ... and if those people are from far-flung places then so much the better. :))

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I'm a "couchsurfing" (as far as the site goes) virgin but in actual fact I often meet friends on my travels that become great friends. Believe it or not I'm even the godfather to the children of a friend I met on a train journey across europe 21 years ago.

Besides travel, I have an ecclectic music taste and a love of most sports. Tasting the cuisines of different countries is a joy too!

jazz - particularly latin jazz gets me going! The last movie I really enjoyed was Limitless. Books - autobiographies of inspirational people.

I've been lucky enough to experience some awesome things in my life but microliting over the himalayas in Nepal and going on safari in South Africa are two things that will always be special to me.

I once circumnavigated the globe in about 10 days on a business trip. A tiring, but amazing experience.
