ABOUT ME

I love to travel but have allowed work to take over my life for the last few years. After being diagnosed with breast cancer at the ripe old age of 30, I decided that I needed to get off my butt and begin seeing the rest of the world. While I am stuck at home for the next year having fun with chemo, I figured it would be a good time to have new friends come a visit. If I can't get out to the world, I might as well bring the world to me!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I am at home I would love to meet as many people as possible. I think it is a great way to learn about other places and cultures!

Interests

I love to cook and travel. I figure staying in someones home is a great way to learn some new dishes and get a real feel for other places.Being a vegetarian I am always on the look out for great new recipes. I also love to play the piano, go out with friends, read, watch movies, talk and write!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I have very eclectic tastes. I love everything from punk to musicals, folk to classical, jazz to opera.
Movies - I love comedies (O Brother Where Art Thou is a favorite) action, dramas, historical... pretty much anything except horror, I don't like horror movies.
Books - I love anything that is well written. That can range from The Agony and the Ecstasy to Calvin and Hobbes cartoons!
