Hi! My name is Carlos, I'm a musicologist, anthropologist, and musician from Colombia, now living in Barcelona to finish a Doctorate in History of art and Musicology. I'm addicted to music; can't hide it. Actually, I feel that I need to share some ideas about the reasons why here. For me music it's not just seen as entertainment or a demonstration of knowledge and culture, I love music as a cultural, social and even political expression of the human being; an expression or reflection of our bodies, minds and souls, connected with the word: poetry, our bodies: heart, rhythm, dances, our minds: energy, creation, waves.

Of course, I do not only love music, but every thing else I see it as related to music: films, poetry, literature, dance, politics, philosophy, history, cooking, cleaning :P Joking. It is not exactly like that. I'm also very interested in this things as being separated from music.

Because as the Beatles said "in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make" or as my parents use to say in Spanish "el que no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir".

Travelling around my country, Colombia, for almost one year,
working as a farmer, fishing directly in the see on an island, finishing school and univeristy with scholarships...and a master a few months ago. Going for the Doctorate now!
