About Me
When people ask me where I'm from I like to say that my body was born in Brazil, but my mind grew in an international and borderless place called INTERNET. My soul, then, lives somewhere in between and, at the same time, everywhere!
I'm a super curious person, always trying lots of different things but driven with the purpose of connecting and helping people however I can.
When I'm traveling I'm not that interested in going to main touristic attracts. I like to travel with heart and actually connect with the local culture, staying at local's homes, walking randomly by the small streets, feelings the vibe of the place, stopping by whatever place calls my attention.

"We are what we do to change what we are." (Eduardo Galeano)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with different people, to learn about different views of the world, different life styles and, if possible, to share some things too. People talk a lot about "bubbles" these days. I'm in a constant effort to break out from mine.
I love the Couchsurfing community, and I hold dear to my heart each and every encounter it has provided me already, and hope to have many more in the future. This is the kind of thing that gives me hope in mankind :)
Interests
I'm very into everything nature. Climbing mountains or just looking at them are some of the things I like to do the most. That's why in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro where I live I try to bike whenever I can, and not only for fun or sports, but as an actual urban transport. I'm profoundly attracted to cities that are "walkable" and "bikeable", and one day I hope to live in a city where I can go ANYWHERE with just the power of my legs.
In my free time I try to materialize my love for music by playing it. I play mainly the drums, but also the guitar, bass, and some keyboard.
I'm also really passionate about my job, which is a mix of art and science of understanding how people interact with technology and products so we can design better and more human tech. I deeply believe in the power of technology to connect people and knowledge in revolutionary ways - just like this very platform does.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to listen to a lot of instrumental music, like jazz but definitely not limited to. I also like very much alternative, progressive rock and brazilian music.
I like to watch weird movies and documentaries - please recommend me one!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I stepped in Europe was to study in Grenoble, a small french city near the Alps.
I always shocked how people biked everywhere, so I bought a cheap second-hand vintage bike and it changed my life forever.
Grenoble is surrounded by the most beautiful mountains, and they were all extremely accessible to climb and hike. In less than 1 hour you could be on a snow-capped top with breathtaking views of the valley. This was a life-changing experience of freedom and connection to nature and I was never the same.
Oh, yes, and I did attend to some classes in the university too :P
