ABOUT ME

I graduated college in 2008 and I'm still adjusting to living in the real world. I work a standard 9 to 5 so I am constantly struggling with how to make the most out of this life living in the epitome of suburbia :/

I'm hoping to get some great experiences out of this site since I absolutely love learning about new cultures and meeting new faces! While certain "must-see" landmarks can be important pieces of a trip and understanding a country's identity, my favorite parts of my trips are always when I'm just walking around and getting lost in the streets of a city and having a beer with the locals.

I have hosted just two couchsurfers since I sadly had to move back home for a bit. But now that I'm back I am able to start hosting again.

I'm such a dork, I absolutely love being in school and I miss it. History, philosophy, politics, random trivia, I love discussing it all! I recently became interested in photography, which basically just means I bought a really nice camera and I'm still learning how to use it.

With movies my interests are varied. I love anything from When Harry Met Sally to The Boondock Saints.

I love to read! I want to learn as much as I can about anything and everything.

Rap and hip-hop are my favorites since I love dancing, but other than that I listen to anything except jazz. Good Lord that is terrible to sit through. Ok, jazz and 80's music. Both are equally offensive to my ears.

I have been able to travel pretty frequently this past two years and every destination has something amazing to offer. Whether it's jumping off of a boat into the middle of the Aegean Ocean, or seeing the Parliament Building on a nighttime cruise in Budapest I can safely say there is something absolutely memorable in every experience.

I studied International Relations and American Politics in school so for those who are interested in the US I can give them a reasonable explanation and history of American foreign policy and thought. Not that I particularly agree with it, mind you! I want to learn anything I can about the world. I love languages and everything they demonstrate about their respective cultures.
