About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live my life with integrity, passion, and to exude loving energy, the ingredients for a masterpiece!
ABOUT ME
To myself I'm a lot of things...to others...I'm described as; curious, adventurous, a good listener, passionate, loving, considerate, genuine, and respectful. A lover of great food, cooking, live music, and all things creative. I write books and poetry to change minds, to provoke thought beyond the surface, and to bring people closer together in love.
PHILOSOPHY
"Love is a universal language and everyone benefits by learning to speak it freely."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had the pleasure of meeting up with other CS members in cities I've traveled to as well as being hosted in various cities in Europe and North America. I'm looking forward to meeting more wonderful people as my travels continue. Somewhere in the not-so-distant future, I'll be able to give the gift of reciprocity once I'm stationary in one location again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Awesome! I've had some very memorable experiences so far as a surfer and have learned a lot from the people that I've had the pleasure of meeting. :)
Interests
My interests include teaching myself how to bake, making homemade soups and getting out of my comfort zone by trying different recipes/dishes (I feel like a mad scientist in the kitchen). Aerial yoga, dancing, reading, hiking, and photography are things that I do regularly. Slowly getting back to writing my own creative non-fiction and poetry after spending the last eight years writing books for others. Getting back to traveling more, meeting people IRL, and finding reasons to do the happy dance (often centered around great food or seeing the sunshine or listening to a great song)!
I'm also currently focussed more on being rather than doing. Being curious, soft, fun, joy-filled, silly, present, since that's where the magic happens. Also going to see live music as much as possible!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
Action, drama, suspense, romantic comedies, and documentaries.
I appreciate all types of music, especially live...I can and will listen to anything (the only limits would be heavy metal & country for too long as they don't resonate with me).
Some of my favorite authors are Paulo Coelho, Sistah Souljah, Don Miguel Ruiz, James Baldwin, Janet Finch, Maeve Binchy, Walter Mosley, Fredrick Nietzsche...many more authors.
Book list is too long but here's a few new ones from my summer reading challenge. Will, You Made a Fool of Death with your Beauty, Decoded, Seven Days in June, Finding Me, The Artist's Journey, and The She Book.
A few oldies but goodies are The Aleph, The Story of O, The War of Art, The Artists Way, Down by The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, Eleven Minutes, and on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling to three countries and four cities in 24 hours.
Teach, Learn, Share
Skills I can share, English (US) practice, cooking or washing the dishes (if you prepare the meal :)), book publishing/writing tips and insight, smiles, warmth, and laughter.
Things I would like to learn: photography tips, how to play acoustic guitar, how to ballroom dance, how to make (whatever your specialty dish is!), sewing, and on. Anything really, I'm a student of life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking tips, great conversation, info on book writing, editing or publishing. Business, marketing or solo entrepreneurship tips. Diverse range of great music playlists (I'm bias!)
Myself, laughs, stories about travel/life/personal growth, food, music, movies, and any other shared interests we discover during our ice-breaker moments early on.
