Hey there! I’m Cody, a photographer with a soft spot for live music, good food, and a cold beer to kick off any adventure. When I land in a new city, you’ll usually find me wandering toward a local pub first, then chasing down live music, hidden food spots, and genuine conversations with people who call that place home.

Back in Thunder Bay, I’m proud to call this little slice of Northern Ontario home. If you're looking to explore the city, I can give you some great tips or even show you around. When I’m not behind a camera at a concert or community event, I’m usually in the yard, tinkering in the garden, or plotting my next trip.

My current dream? To one day turn my passion for food and travel photography into something bigger. Until then, I’m here for the connections, the stories, and the memories made along the way.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I was introduced to Couchsurfing during a solo trip to Denmark, where some fellow travelers I met convinced me this was the best way to make friends, plan outings, and connect with people beyond the usual tourist path. While I’m still new to the platform, the spirit of Couchsurfing feels very familiar. My couch has always been open to my friends, and now it’s open to the world.

When I travel, I’m all about experiencing a place through the people who live there. That might mean grabbing a beer, checking out a local band, wandering with my camera, or just swapping stories over coffee. I’m happy to have found this platform, because it’s exactly what I need for my solo adventures.

I open my space when I'm around. The space I offer is a (mostly) private basement apartment, so if all you need is a hot shower and a place to crash, you’ll be comfortable. But if you’re up for hanging out, I’m always happy to share a meal, show you around, give you some recommendations for the area or just relax with good conversation.

Music: Vinyl collector - everything from classic rock, to jazz, to progressive metal. Only thing you probably won't hear me listening to is country.

Movie: I love quirky / dark comedies like Thank you For Calling, or Fargo

Book: I love a mix of classics and the offbeat. Poetry anthologies right next to rock memoirs, graphic novels, and darkly funny fiction. I also have waaay too many cookbooks.
