About Me

Spending 2017 exploring Nicaragua to learn Spanish and write and read full-time. Owned and ran an RV service company from 2014 to 2016 after graduating from college in 2013. My biggest reason for travel is probably to meet and develop relationships with people like me, seekers who want to know about themselves and the world they live in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To build relationships with smart and honest people. And I do plan to use this, and other resources, to live all over Nicaragua.

Interests

Reading and writing are my two most favorite activities. I try to positively impact those people I get to meet. And I'm super excited to get to know Latin culture and language.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading Sapiens by Yuval Harari, which may be the best history book I've ever read, which is a big deal considering I read Cosmos by Carl Sagan last month, and it was incredible too. I pretty much read exclusively nonfiction, although I do enjoy some Harry Potter 🤣lol

I like all sorts of music and all sorts of movies. I can also play the guitar and sing decently 😉

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started a camper repair business four months out of college and three months after my first time stepping in a camper, then operated it for more than two years. It is still alive and well today. 😁😇

Teach, Learn, Share

Spanish is my main focus on the learning front, outside of intellectual pursuits that never really stop in my life.

As far as teaching, I can and will teach English.

I can also teach self-defense from about five years of martial arts experience. I'm a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu.

And I'm something of a history enthusiast, so I like to think I've got a lot to share about that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A positive attitude, willingness to help in whatever manner necessary, and a desire to explore and understand their home country.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Mexico, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
