I've just left work in the political realm in Austin, Texas, and am traveling the world until November, when I will go home and reacquire work. (I won't talk politics with my hosts unless they bring it up).

I've been to 34 countries and 44 US states, mostly over the last six years.

Its an exciting concept and I can't wait to meet more cool people and get insider tips on the local sights and dishes. After 6 years of hostels and hotels, this would be an awesome way to save money.

And I'd really love to host people and show them my town. I'm really proud of where I live and I love having guests.

I like most movies, but not too big into horror and cheesy action movies.

I'm not a huge reader, but when I read, I usually nerd out to history and philosophy. I also spend large amounts of time reading random things on Wikipedia, usually when I should be sleeping.
