ABOUT ME
A nurse taking a year off of work to travel the world!
Im originally from Nebraska, born and raised in Lincoln. I ran track and cross country to help pay my way through college. After school I lived in Minneapolis for a bit and then to SF for the last ten years.
I just traveled to asia (just left the US for the first time), sold all my stuff and just left! I have never been more open about meeting new people, it was the best thing about leavingâ¦
I used to race cyclocross, I don't run much anymore but hope to get back into it slowly. Secretly I want to learn to breakdanceâ¦I am pretty random, my humor is weird. I am deciding where I want to live in the world!
I joined couch surfing because I travel to the east coast often to see my parents (who help raise my nephews with my brother)..and I travel to NYC and I find it boringâ¦its hard to meet people (especially comparing how easy it was to meet people in asia). Its also un-fucking-believably expensive to stay the night in NYC and this would be an interesting alternative.
PHILOSOPHY
hard to sum up. Things work themselves out?! I believe that all people are good and everyone should (try) not to get too hung up on the little things. I also believe people should say hello more often to random strangers and offer to buy someone a cup of coffee that they don't know once in a while.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really read that much besides medical books for nursing. Im trying to..I read most of "What the dog saw". I love music, playing acoustic guitar and singing although I never remember the words but thats what the iPad is for.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I joined couch surfing because I just got back from asia for 4.5 months. Something that hopefully has changed the course of my life and the way I think. I normally never would have thought of doing something like this but the best part of traveling for me was meeting other people…and/or like minded people.
I saw most of asia, the great wall of china, angora way, I did the top gear challenge and rode a motorcycle 1500 miles by myself through vietnam!
