After growing up in a small town in on the east coast of New Zealand, I seem to have caught a travel bug which I can't seem to get rid of! I've lived my last 4 years in Auckland but have squeezed in 3 backpacking trips in that time and am always planning to visit the next intrepid place.

I'm a fairly laidback, outdoorsy guy and love to share travel stories over a few beers as well as find out the ins and outs of a new place from the locals.

I think travelling, discovering new places and meeting new people is one of the most formative experiences one can have and I don't think this should be limited by the size of your bank account. The friends that i've made and experiences i've had are invaluable and if I can help someone do this, awesome. I'm on Couchsurfing now because I would love to continue to meet people and extend the same life experiences to other travellers like myself.
