Hey there!

My name is Colin, I'm from Barrie On. and grew up between here and Sydney Ns. I went to university in Ottawa where I did my BA in Psychology and loved my time spent there. From school I returned to Barrie and got a job as a Crisis Counsellor which I've always wanted to do, I love my job and am very grateful to be working in a field that I find so interesting! I've also been volunteering as a Music Therapist with a youth program in Barrie and get to learn a ton and have fun as well, even if most of the kids are better at their instruments than me.

I honestly find describing myself to be a little uncomfortable but for the sake of explaining who I am to complete strangers I'll give it a go. I'm very outgoing and love meeting new people and making new friends. I do my best to ensure those around me are happy and enjoying themselves. Making people laugh is one of the most rewarding things in life.

I'm currently living with my dad for the sake of keeping loan sharks at bay, but would love to repay the generosity of this website once I get a place of my own! This all seems like such a great idea and I'm excited to start meeting new people! If you have any questions please ask away!

I'm taking my first plunge into backpacking and hoping to have the best possible travel experience I can. I've never strayed from the resort path before and would love to see as much of the world as I can from the perspective of those who know it best! I love meeting new people and am hoping to live outside my comfort zone while traveling.

Musica, film e libri

Favourite bands include Pink Floyd, The Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon, Frank Zappa. I love hearing new music and getting to know new bands, recently I've been listening to a lot of Timber Timbre, Outkast, Father John Misty, Sigur Ros, BBNG, Feist, Sufjan Stevens, etc.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is pretty easily my favourite movie. I've probably seen every episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia 10 times.

Brave New World, Anything Vonnegut, The Sun Also Rises, The Beach, lots of Palahniuk. I'm a relatively new reader so I'm still working my way through the classics and loving every minute of it!

I quit smoking cold turkey around 3 years ago which I'm still somewhat amazed by.

I'm an accomplished cook - I learned that you need to need to wait for the water to boil before you put the pasta in when I was 16 and haven't looked back.

I love going to see live music, whether it be an acoustic set in a quiet pub or a death metal show in the middle of the pit. I'll never pass up a chance to see a show!
