About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To bring peace on earth or at least make sure there's enough good wine to go around
ABOUT ME
What can we say? Starting with the little Bean, he is a handsome little baby that really everyone finds cute. He didn't get that from his father which got me wondering...
Krystina is a very chilled and a very loveable living-in-the-moment kinda girl. She's just started studying at art college having tried the other world and found it, well, just a bit unnecessarily, ummm, well, management consultants don't much care for living-in-the-moment girls that find clouds and stone carvings and old men beautiful.
Colin is better at coping with the madness of the corporate world. Although he strongly suspects he fits as badly as Tina but is just better at bottling up the frustration. He vents his frustration on his bike, and occasionally is so frustrated that he wins bike races.
Aside from that, well, we just kinda mooch along in the world. Tina smells the roses, I'm trying to learn the guitar which is more fun than my previous attempts at trying to learn German or my aborted attempt to learn Cantonese.
PHILOSOPHY
Laugh, smile, share, be compassionate, drink wine
An example: I met a little girl in Dharamsala. Her parents owned a cafe that my brother and I visited a lot. The girl did nothing all day but laugh, smile and giggle. Not a single complaint or cry in the hours we spent with her. If I can bring my child up with even of some that inside then I'll have done a great thing.

Music, Movies, and Books
We don't really watch TV or films. But we do read and listen to music. I would try to summarise our tastes but I'd fail. Instead I'll randomly list artists and authors:
Music: Pantha du Prince, Bach - especially the Cello Suites, Emiliana Torrini, Steve Earle, Beethoven's late quartets, Bert Jansch, Emma Kirkby singing Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Avro Part, Boards of Canada, EST
Authors: John Banville, Erich Remarque, Ian McEwan, MIchel Faber, Alasdair Gray, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Neal Stephenson, Iain Banks, Douglas Adams

Teach, Learn, Share
We've lived, worked and travelled in Asia for 8 years now so can hopefully tell visitors a bit about life in Asia. It is the future you know...
We love talking and arguing about art, philosophy, politics and interesting stuff in general. We'd be happy to learn anything from anyone...
