I am a 20 year old dual citizen (UK and USA), and currently majoring in chemical engineering at UC San Diego. Besides being a complete nerd at times, I have always had an affinity for travel. Traveling has always kept me sane, and I cannot stress the impact of experiencing new cultures around the globe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a complete novice, but I am keen to learn how this works!

Interests

Besides traveling, I have played football (soccer) and rowed for most of my life. I am a registered scuba diver and have dived around the world. My favorite location has to be the Red Sea (Taba and Sharm-El-Sheik). To be honest, there are very few things that I don't enjoy or am not willing to try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled to Romania for four years in a row where I witnessed the atrocities of the treatment of Romanian orphans. During my trips, I would spend time with mentally/physically disabled orphans, and gypsies who have been ostracized by their society. These four years of experiences have opened my eyes to world around me, and the need for me to do my part to make a difference. I managed to meet my long lost "brother", Nicusor, at a gypsy care center. Nicusor experiences poor treatment from his family and community and still manages to have a smile on his face. Nicusor is and has always been my mission. He gave me hope that despite the obstacles we face in life, we can always overcome them. That is my amazing experience.
