Overview
About Me
I'm a 28 year old guy from California currently working in San Francisco and living in Berkeley. For the last few years, I've been jumping between Chile and California, mostly working in the translation industry and even running my own translation company for a while. Now I'm a bit more settled back home in California with my cat Matilda and my garden. I spend my free time relaxing at home with a book, grabbing a beer with friends, making stupid Instagram handles, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had great experiences hosting and surfing, and I'm looking to continue to meet wonderful people from around the world! I've hosted in the U.S. and in Chile, and I've surfed in the U.S. as well as throughout Europe. It's always a ton of fun, and I've made amazing friends from around the globe!

Music, Movies, and Books
Authors:
Mario Benedetti, Andrés Caicedo, David Foster Wallace, and whomever people recommend.
Music:
Seems to change a lot. Mostly sad stuff, I guess. Recommendations?
Movies/series:
Currently probably watching whatever is popular on Netflix. Not really a movie buff but still enjoy watching screens and not thinking about the real world
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hung out in Patagonia for a bit. Drove across the U.S. in a van with a bunch of idiots (my friends). Ran a translation business. I don't know, I guess that's it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak English and Spanish and love helping others in either language! Not only can I be of use to others learning the language, but teaching allows me to understand the language better myself. I play piano but would probably be a terrible teacher. I could be a great jam buddy though! I know a decent amount about how to spend time in San Francisco, as well as in Santiago (if you're in Chile).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will probably roll in with beer if you allow me to crash on your couch, and I always carry my V60 coffee dripper with me, so I can make you a cup of coffee. I assume this means more than just physical things that I can share with hosts, so I guess also I'd say language! Practicing English or Spanish or if you want to practice Portuguese with me I can pretend (it will be bad).
