I'm a young lad of 19, super social, pretty relaxed. I'm chatty and will happily discuss everything, from the weather to the concept of spoons. I lived in Berlin for a few months, and now I'm studying science in Cork.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really really like meeting new people, doing things I've never done before, and above all, making more stories. Stories are the fuel that I run on.

Interests

Realistically, I'll try anything once. I like to really engage with what I'm doing, almost to forget everything else around me exists. Whether it's a focussed game of chess, an adrenaline buzz from a midnight cycle or a Kung Fu training session, or just a good conversation, I like to carpe that diem.

Music, Movies, and Books

How can one have favourites in any of these? Still, if I had to pick...

Music: rock and metal from Pixies to Metallica to Fall Out Boy, a little bit of rap, and I'm really feeling jazz and blues at the moment. I appreciate it all though.

Books: no don't make me choose.

Movies: I'm not a big movie buff, but I like realistic and gritty films or dark humour. In Bruges is great. I can't do horror movies. If you want to really laugh, skip the comedy and make me watch a horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Berlin for 5 months with no connections there at all. It was fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

In Irish, the word for jellyfish is 'smugairle róin', meaning 'seal snot'.

I love sharing little things about language like this, and seeing new perspectives through language. The other main thing I have to share is music; I love to make music with other people, and I can teach basics on guitar, ukelele and piano.
