About Me

American currently studying Philosophy and Psychology abroad at the University of Manchester in the UK. I have absolutely loved being here in England. It's pretty different from back home in America, and I have enjoyed settling in.

I have been to Europe once before and knew I had to come back, so that's why I'm studying abroad.

Traveling, questioning, and understanding the world are things I'm truly passionate about. People's stories and backgrounds are vastly different and interesting, and can really put things into perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been couchsurfing only a few times. But I have friends who have that recommeded it to me, and I am excited for the experience and meeting the people along the way!

To expand on that last point, being on here allows me to meet people who are actually from the places I'm traveling to, that way I can actually experience the culture and people, and see the authentic parts of the city/area, as well as making memories and friends along the way. That's the real reason to travel, right?

Interests

Along with my traveling endeavors, I have strong interests in philosophy, learning, and experiencing the dynamics in life as much as possible, from the grand moments of hiking summits to sitting on the porch sipping wine or coffee.

I also have played drums for 11 years and is a intricate part of my life. I always carry sticks and a notebook with me just in case inspiration strikes.

Growing up in America, I never needed to learn a second language. But because of seeing how important languages are to culture, I have made it a goal of mine to learn at least 5 within my lifetime. Any help is greatly appreciated!
