Traveling in California to visit friends and family before I head off to Hawaii

ABOUT ME

Colorado born and raised, I think my time best spent is spent outside. I also like to read, probably too much for my own good. I like to put my hands in the soil and watch them grow into a season's harvest. I can be shy with new people, mostly because I'm not so good at small talk. But, I do like to talk, and when the conversation flows I can forget to eat or sleep. I'd like someday to write something that makes someone laugh, cry, cringe in revulsion, want to quit their job, want to give a stranger a hug, want to start a revolution (especially the silent kind). At the same time I don't really care if I get published. I don't know what all that says about me, but you'll have to ask to learn more.

PHILOSOPHY

We live in a tumultuous world wrought with problems, both personal and global, ”all at times appear insurmountable. Frustration, suffering, and injustice abound, all while it seems we run around forgetting what it means to be a human. Through it all I seek to choose love through fear.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently I've been reading a lot of poetics: Wendell Berry, Kahlil Gibran, Robinson Jeffers, Hafiz, Saul Williams. As far as music goes I'm pretty open, but when left to my own choices I'm generally listening to musicians like Jack Rose, José Gonzalez, The Tallest Man on Earth, Sufjan Stevens, Puscifer, Shovels and Rope....
