About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To save the world, to be a renaissance man.
ABOUT ME
Hey, my name's Sam. I'm a twenty(almost-one) year old college student from a smallish city in Arkansas. It's not as bad as most believe, I'm quite fond of it. =] Anyway, I go to the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith to study psychology. I'm shooting for a career in politics, eventually getting a PhD in Mass Psychology/Political Science with an urban farm on the side.
I've spent my entire life here on my parent's hippie compound and I like it. I'd really like to see more of the world, though. I'm an avid gardener, everything from arbortecture to aquaponics. Right now I'm keeping tilapia and growing some lettuces and peas hydroponically using their wastes. It's a neat system, easy to set up, and productive! No weeds, no bugs...
But I digress.
I'm a musician, I've played bass for about twelve years now, and keyboard for only a little over one. I'm trying to get a band started... but musicians are the flakiest people on Earth. Except for singers. Haha
I'm an open minded and a liberal soul. A Patriot, but for what America is SUPPOSED to stand for, not the patriot act. I'm a little bit of an activist against the Corporate Republi-crat Party of Amerika and their dominance of the psychological operation that is media, as well as the support of the oil cartels against the best interests of humanity. Only time will tell what the future holds, and damn do we live in an interesting time in history.
PHILOSOPHY
I think the goal of life is to become a completed soul, while making a difference to those around you. A balance of giving/receiving, not leading or following but inspiring others to lead.
Does something suck? Change it.
Life kicks ass, no matter how arduous, it will be a grand adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books
I haven't watched too many movies, but my favorite groups right now are TV on the Radio, The Faint, The Advantage, The Mathematicians, and The Thermals. I listen to a lot more and like almost everything though.
1984 was the last book that I read.
Orwell said on his deathbed that it wasn't intended as fiction, but as a plan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The degradation of America is a pretty amazing thing to see...
My neighborhood comes up with some crazy shit to watch too, from a 70something year old woman spontaneously appearing on my front porch, fully nude, going at her bad self to a guy shooting himself in the parking lot across the street. The asylum in Little Rock dumps off its "safe" patients at the bus station a block and a half from my house, so you never know what could happen.
Teach, Learn, Share
Jeez! I need to read ahead. See above! ^ ^ ^ ^
If anyone has an investor, I have a business model for a self sustaining, profitable fish/vegetable/spirulina farm inside of a warehouse, with almost zero waste.
I love learning, and I love sharing what I've learned.
