ABOUT ME

¡Hola! I am a friendly and talkative person with a genuine interest in other people/other places. I love to laugh in good company and drink perhaps more than I should. I want to share everything I have to offer with the world and the new places I visit and the new friends I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Pretty cheesy to chose something from a film/song but I feel that things become clichéd for a reason:

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings, about fire in our bellies and about furtive little feelings.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be more than happy to meet up for a coffee or to show people round with my very limited knowledge of London. Unfortunately I can't host at the moment but will be able to in the very near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time CouchSurfing. It was recommended to me by a friend who travelled South America using the website and loved every second.

兴趣

I am a (very bad) singer/songwriter and made a few quid in the past from busking. I'm an English student at QMUL and love reading books, reading books about books, and even reading those books about reading the books about books (that took me a long time to get my head round). Studying English has given me a perception of things I would otherwise never have known. I love music, going to the theatre and sitting watching the world go by. Luckily for me London is brilliant for all three.

I love chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool. Occasionally shooting some b-ball outside of school.

I love going out, meeting new people, partying etc.
I love to make people laugh (hopefully not at me) and I love to be with people who make me laugh.

When staying with my Uncle and Aunt in a small village near Granada, I fell in love with Spain and have longed to go back since. Now I have my finances in order I have planned a trip around Northern Spain from mid-June to late-July on a very small budget with many pit stops at fiestas along the way!

I am also a vegetarian but will eat meat that I have never tried before!

- 'Two Days in Paris' in my current favourite film (a lot of love for Julie Delpy).

- Paul Simon is my favourite musician of all time. Ever. In the World. In the Universe. Ever. I'm a big fan of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Frank Turner, and too many others to list here. I also love 90's hip-hop surprisingly. Massive Nas fan.

- Now this is the tricky part. I have too many favourite books to list so I will name the two that had the biggest recent impact on me: 'Death in the Afternoon' by Hemingway, 'Black Like Me' by John Howard Griffin.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Sat in a carriage on the Metro in Paris listening to a very talented musician sing and play 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' on his guitar. Nothing adventurous or unusual, just one of those sublime moments that you will never forget.

- How to spit chewing gum up in the air and catch it in your mouth again.

- I really want to learn Spanish! I haven't been taught since school and don't have the time/money to now I've started my degree. Not a lot of attention is focused on learning languages in England and, now slightly older and more mature, I wish I had continued my studies.
