About Me

I am still very new to the couchsurfing community. I live from the Heart - whether I'm at home or away, my intent is always to see the opportunity for creativity - new awareness - in each situation and interaction. Beautiful and interesting people, places, and situations find their way to me whether I am traveling or at home.

Travel has been a passion for me since I was 4 year old and went on my first long train trip with my parents. Travel for me is a whole experience that can include many aspects: social, recreational, geographic, cultural, self-awareness.

Whether I am buying a bus ticket in Tierra del Fuego or watching ant colonies in the U.S. desert, I let my joy for life spill out to those I encounter.

I communicate issues that affect my relationships as soon as I become aware of them.

I am a tidy, responsible person, quick to acknowledge and apologize when I have messed up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the most fun parts of travel (and Life) for me is the people I meet and their (life) stories. Traveling for me is multi-dimensional art that begins (and ends) in interaction and sharing - with whatever happens or appears in the course of each day. Museums, history, and culture can be interesting, but it is the people, things, and landscapes right in front of me in each moment that touch me the deepest.

Couchsurfing offers me the opportunity for more and deeper travel connections as well as a way to participate in community. The economy Couchsurfing offers me when I travel, also allows me to travel in regions, (and meet people), that would otherwise be beyond my modest retirement.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am always attracted to genuine acoustic (folk) music, and it is even more attractive to me when my is stirred to move and dance. I sometimes listen to music, but more often I sing - not because I am a great singer but simply enjoyment.

I used to read a lot, but now hardly pick up books - people/nature are more interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(This list could be almost endless!)

I would be amazed if I now go through a day without being amazed.

Teach, Learn, Share

My intent is to engage fully with each person and situation that I encounter: listening deeply, beyond the words to receive the person.

Some examples of this include my passion for Contact Improv Dance, which is a unchoreographed dance that flows out of the moment to moment shifting of balance, unbalance, presence, shared center of gravity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lively interaction. Humor. Spontanaeity. Original perspectives. Laughter. Stories from Life and reflection about Life. Compassion for all life and this beautiful planet we live on. Silent presence.
