Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the last 6 or 7 years I have been working in an NGO visiting German patients in the Majorcan hospitals and
some friends and I have created an organisation which helps prision inmates.

Interests

I like travelling just like every couchsurfer I guess. I love nature and enjoy hiking and swimming. Seeing friends over a glass of wine or a nice dinner is beautiful (I am mostly responsable for cakes and desserts).I also like meeting new people. But it's also great to be alone with a book that makes me disappear from the world until I have finished it. Some of my favourite authors are Hermann Hesse, Jane Austen, Elisabeth Goudge and John Steinbeck, but I also love crime stories by Minette Walters and Elizabeth George.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In a national park in Sri Lanka we were once chased by a wild buffalo - luckily our jeep was faster. Beautiful landscapes can also touch me deeply. And I am always awestruck with courageous people who can change the world, like for example Vicente Ferrer, Raoul Wallenstein, Oscar Schindler or Madre Teresa.
