My Name is Connor and I just completed my first year as an elementary school special education teacher. This is my first summer as a teacher, so I have some time to travel and explore the world. I enjoy hiking, whiskey, and live music. I am a very clean roommate and love to cook and don't mind doing the dishes. I recently travelled to Costa Rica and it was amazing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see a lot of value in meeting local people from a new place and sharing time with them. This is a great way to experience a new country as well as have an idea of who you will be staying with unlike the raffle of staying in a hostel. It also sounds appealing to hear the inside scoop on different places to visit from someone who knows the country well.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is very diverse. I listen to just about everything. Recently I have been into blues, classic rock, edm, and jazz. I am a big fan of Quentin Tarantino and his movies. Also a big fan of Dark Knight, Inception, etc. as classic go-to movies. Books, I am currently reading the Alchemist and Celestine Prophecy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Costa Rica, I rode a horse around a volcano. It was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am able to speak conversational Spanish and wish to share this. I have a life goal to live in a foreign country and teach english. I like to think I have a decent understanding of mental illness and special education and hope to one day influence people who are scared/ need help with things like this.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am able to share compassion, patience, kindness, respect, and general assistance. As a guest I love to not only clean up after my self, but also be very courteous and offer help with anything. I also have a good sense of humor and enjoy joking around.
