Couchsurfing is the best way I've found to travel -- have had great experiences hosting and surfing. I'm not looking for luxury when I travel (although I'm not opposed to it), I want the local experience. Show me your favorite place to grab a beer, the foods I need to try, and anything else you think I should see!

I've surfed in Stockholm, Vienna, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Taipei, and hosted when I lived in NYC and Bangkok.

Food is number one. Beyond that, my interests are all over the place. Music, art, history, American football, psychology, philosophy, queer theory, Native American culture, Ancient Roman history, et al. Mostly food, though.
