About Me

Dual national spending a year (turned into 6) in Europe, trying to tick off as many countries as I can. So far I've done 21 since I've moved.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for a place to stay when hostels aren't available, and it's easier to meet locals. Get the inside scoop on the food and cheap things to do, things off the beaten trail. I live by experiencing the world through others, its so much more fun to learn from people and places then books and tests.

Swapping travel stories and subpar cooking skills. But honestly, I'm a decent cook and I love to try local foods.

Interests

Traveling, meeting locals, photography, tattoos, history, anthropology, archaeology, linguistics and learning languages

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland and Pompeii in Italy have been my top travel experiences. I can't pick between them. Both have special memories. I went to Iceland with my mother for a bonding trip over something we both wanted to do. So that was special. And Pompeii has been a dream of mine since I saw it on The History Channel back in 2004 or so. Even more special since I study archaeology now. Another great experience was moving from America to my father's hometown of Cardiff, Wales on my 22 birthday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help with English and I can teach you how to say that famously long place name in the north of Wales.

I can also teach you how to make a chicken pasta bake with a white sauce topped with cheese.

I can also share my love of travel. Swapping stories and giving advice for future travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a decent chicken pasta bake with white sauce and cheese. Other than that I can share travel stories and basic English lessons in exchange for a bed and teaching me some of the local language, trying to learn hello, thanks, goodbye, and can I have a beer? In as many languages as possible.

Aruba, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Curaçao, Cyprus, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Haiti, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City State, Wales
