About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Host surfers in Vancouver when my schedule allows for it.
ABOUT ME
I am easy to get along with and I enjoy meeting new people. I am a naturally curious person and I am always eager to learn new things.
PHILOSOPHY
I take things as they come, always try to stay positive and make the best out of every situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had a great experience couchsurfing while I was living in Europe. Now that I am back in Vancouver I would like to host surfers when possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only hosted once when I was living in Europe but all my surfing experiences have been wonderful! It's great to meet new people and get a local perspective.
Interests
I love all things related to music, whether it be listening or performing. I started playing piano when I was young and I've learned other instruments since then. Playing music with a group of people never fails to put a smile on my face.
I'm an avid hiker, sailor, and skier. I was a sailing instructor before starting University and I am now part of my University's robotic sailing team (UBC Sailbot).
I also love cooking and everything to do with food. One of the most exciting things for me when visiting a new city is trying some of the local food.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all types of music, it's way too difficult to pick a favorite. Playing in Jazz and Classical groups has given me an appreciation for those genres, but I also enjoy all kinds of Rock, R&B, and Electronic music.
I love reading when I have the time, although that is unfortunately not too often. The most recent book that I've read is Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
I don't watch much TV, it's too much of a time commitment if I want to stay caught up to the series :P
That being said, I do watch some TV and my favorite would have to be Arrested Development
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing trip that I've done would have to be hiking the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island, Canada. It was the most difficult hike that I've done but also the most rewarding. During the 7 days of hiking, we walked through rocky beaches and old growth rainforests, saw whales and sea lions, and generally had a great time. We were extremely lucky in that it never rained once during our trip, as this is one of the rainiest places in Canada.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach recipes from many different types of cooking and I would love to learn some of yours. If you provide me with a sailboat I would be more than willing to teach you some things about sailing ;)
