ABOUT ME

The last time I was a couch surfer was the summer I dropped out of school. That was in 1975, and I was seventeen. I joined the Navy that fall, learned a cool skill (navigation) and and wound up staying for a twenty year career, complete with family. When I retired I was 38 years old. I was divorced when I was 40. I received my undergraduate degree when I was 42 and went on to drop out of two separate Masters programs before i decided that my formal education had concluded.



I board with a friend in her home in Northern Minnesota, about five miles from lake superior. I work for her in exchange for a room and shared use of her home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done a great many things in my life, some for geld, some for pleasure, some out of curiosity and more than once out of necessity. I offer my labor to my hosts such as they might need to accomplish maintenance projects around their home or property such as moving and hauling, landscaping, repairs, building additions or decks, weatherproofing I can also assist with services like child and elder care, respite visits for long-term caregivers,

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surf currently with relations and friends. I'd like to practice performing a days work for a days sustenance. I would enjoy becoming a useful new friend to people wherever I go...

Interests

I am a wood carver - I carve dippers for saunas from burls on black ash trees and galls on birch and spruce.
