About Me
ABOUT ME
One of the biggest steps for me was making the decision A. To go to Australia and B. To postpone school and continue travel, two ideas that seemed very intimidating at the time. That trip changed my whole perspective on how I've been living my life and made me want to fully take advantage of every second I have and always do things that make me happy, instead of doing things by the book. I am very passionate about the environment and I want to help it for the better on a large scale (hence my academic program of choice). I truly enjoy trying new things and taking risks and living life outside the box. I'm a very rhythmic person, I love all kinds of musics and dancing. I exercise regularly, mostly running and eat as healthy as possible. I have recently returned from a 10 month trip to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. I have so many more projects to come; I would like to try being an aupair, to do some volunteering and humanitarian work, the sky's the limit!
PHILOSOPHY
I honestly think that you make your own idea of success and as long as you're happy, go for it. You can live in a mansion or a shack and still love life, as long as you're doing the thing you love. The tricky part is finding that thing I guess, traveling is a start!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started couchsurfing for the first time during my recent trip to Australia. I think its a brilliant concept; like creating a community and cycle of kindness and hospitality. Its a great way to get to know the locals and your surroundings on a whole new level and to meet some really interesting people that will leave you with a lasting impression to say the least. I would definitely like to host when I move into my own place, hopefully later this year.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only couchsurfed in Australia so far, up in Darwin and on the East Coast, but I plan on using this awesome network for many trips to come!
Interests
I have always been passionate about dancing, I've tried many styles but so far salsa and hiphop have stuck. My health is very important and I like to stay fit and active combined more and more with healthy eating (I have been a vegetarian for a little more than a year and . I'm a runner. I completed the half marathon last year and hope to complete the full one as soon as possible, until then I enjoy doing various fun runs, anything to keep me moving. I find life takes on a whole new perspective when I feel healthy.School is very important for me, I really apply myself when it comes to studies and am currently enrolled in the Civil Engineering program here in Montreal. I like learning new skills, little hobbies here and there (crocheting, playing an instrument, etc)
