About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living in the now.. because I can't conjugate the past.

ABOUT ME

I just left Tahoe for France! - I can't hear very well or run very fast, but that doesn't slow me down, nor does never knowing where I'm headed until I arrive. I'm always looking for the humor in life and to enjoy every moment. If you can't laugh at yourself, we might not get along. I try to keep things positive because it's terribly contagious.. and there is humor in everything. I can be a little reserved at first but become quickly excited by what motivates others. All in all, I'm very simple. I just keep things honest and possible.

PHILOSOPHY

The circle of karma is incredibly strong. Sometimes it is very small, taking moments for its reciprocating action to take place. Other times take longer to develop, but it always comes. So just try to be good and that's what you will get in return.

Planning far ahead is not part of my character. I have learned that a general idea is good, but plans are meant to be broken. In breaking these plans due to unforeseen circumstances, one brews anxiety and a sense of loss. Because of this loss, often times it is hard to see what is gained in a new opportunity. Ditch your plans and let the wind carry you to new possibilities that previously weren't thought possible or even considered.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With no home of my own for very long, I've just surfed so far. Though, I'm really good at bringing wine and cleaning the dishes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a Spaniard at a bar at JFK who is one of the most generous people I have ever met. After talking for less than five minutes, he was demanding that I come stay with him. That European tour changed drastically from it's first inception but only for the better. It couldn't have been so great without CS.

Interests

Any sport the involves riding a board, drinking a little too much wine, and playing water polo. Anything that makes your heart race e.g. big engines, fast cars, and great heights. Any place that will let you relax after taking your breath away like pure white mountain tops, a glassy lake surface, or deep blue ocean with a sandy beach.

Music, Movies, and Books

That's a very long list or several conversations.

In a few names: Quentin Tarantino, Tom Petty, and Robert Ludlum

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I graduated from college (uni). I'm not sure anyone saw that coming.. including myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a possibly worrisome amount about sunscreen, classic Toyota Land Cruisers, and microbiology.

I'll be happy to show you how to skate (poorly), surf (beginner level), or snowboard (proficiently).

I can also teach how to enjoy a bottle of wine without knowing it's price.

I like to learn from like- and dislike-minded people if it's a new perspective.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, New Zealand, United States
