About Me

I grew up in a small town in the US and have since been exploring cultures and geographies.
After graduating with degrees in business and Spanish, I moved to Sierra Leone to work with microfinance banks. I then moved to Bolivia where I also worked in economic development and microfinance.
I've spent time in the Amazon region of Ecuador teaching English and micro enterprise classes. I returned to the Amazon region in Bolivia for economic development research.
Later, I moved to China for a couple of years to teach English.
Then moved to England for a few years to complete further education.

I love taking photos with my Minolta film camera. Also making coffee and reading books.

I’m an easy guest, can keep myself busy, and could talk or not talk for hours!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing makes my experience in each country more genuine. There's nothing better than having a host excitedly share a place to visit or small restaurant serving their favorite food. I really dislike travel books. Connecting with a place is really connecting with the people

I love to learn what life is like as a local. I find couchsurfing is a perfect way to build relationships as a friend - not a tourist.
