ABOUT ME

Until I was 18 I had travelled some but spent most of my time on the family dairy farm. since then I have had a hard time staying anywhere for more than a few months. I love to travel but not justhop from one place to another every other night. I like to stay with locals and really see a place on a deeper level. Really get to know the people and culture and make great friends. I use the word AWESOME way too much and all my friends make fun of me for it. I'm trying to learn how to ride a dirtbike but so far spend as much time on the ground as I do on the bike.

PHILOSOPHY

Have an opinion - don't spend your life just agreeing with others because it is easy. Challenge yourself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just signed up and plan on doing a little couch surfing on my way back to the Australian outback. I can't wait to get started.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although it has been informal couch surfing for me I just spent february on couches in Endland and Scotland with friends that I know who are living there. It was so much fun and resulted in my trip being extaordinary because they knew a lot of great places to see and things to do so I could pack as much as possible into my short stay.

Intereses

I love to cook, ride horses, take pictures with my spiffy new digital camera ( it took me a long time to switch from film), eat cheese...mmmm....cheese, work at interesting things while I travel that I can't do in Canada (cotton harvest, fruit orchard, cattle station), dancing -although I'm really very bad at it and yoga for the inner peace of it all.

Watermelon skiing at the Chinchilla Watermelon festival in Qld, Australia. Flying in a helicopter that was so small it could have been remote controlled, lived in Northern Canada for a summer where it is daylight for 24 hours a day.

I'll teach you how to bake. Making dough (bread, not money)rocks and I think everyone should know how. I have had such awesome experiences so far and if my telling you about it inspires you to do it too then all the better.
