About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to find a way to balance the need to stay put and my itch to wonder

ABOUT ME

I am a teacher so I should have plenty of free time for weekend and summer roadtrips and will need many couches to sleep on. A lot of the places I've traveled to have been carefully planned or short mini-trips. Now I am ready to wander a little and really take the time to soak up the culture of unfamiliar places.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as you want to be treated. If you see a piece of trash, pick it up and throw it away. Always be nice to your parents, even if they aren't so nice to you. Respect your children as you would your elders.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a lot of free-spirited friends that enjoy traveling and meeting new people in undiscovered crevices of the world. I am telling the ones who don't know about CS to join, and will hopefully develop a comfy network around the Starkville,MS area.

Interests

a few things that make me happy...
thrift stores, lip gloss, foods I've never tried, dark chocolate, brains, Ben Franklin, music that isn't played on the radio but should be, big beards, pets, beaches, making something from nothing, and fabric softener.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a complete movie and television junkie, I also do enjoy a good book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My family moved to Alaska for three months when I was about 10. We packed a trailer and a Suburban and stopped at every interesting place from Mississippi to Seward and back through Arizona and Texas, and took mini roadtrips every weekend. We stayed in Yellowstone, saw the Grand Canyon, almost slid off mountains in the Rockies of Canada, and learned how to sleep almost anywhere, and in any condition.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Mexico, United Kingdom, United States
