ABOUT ME

I have lived in Portland, Oregon for most of my life. Last year I traveled with a friend through Europe and volunteered on several organic farms. I love traveling, learning languages, and meeting people from different cultures. I am currently a student at the University of Oregon studying philosophy and anthropology. Life is good.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Last year I couchsurfed in Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, and England. I have not yet hosted, but am very interested!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never had a bad experience. The people I have met are awesome and I learned things that I never would have known had I stayed in a hostel or hotel.

Interests

All sorts of stuff. I LOVE to read and read pretty much anything with words. I like sports, mainly soccer. During the school year I play soccer and lacrosse. I also ski in the winter, just for fun though, not competitivly. I play piano and guitar in my spare time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: the Kite Runner, Harry Potter series, the Memory Keeper's Daughter, the Glass Castle, Life of Pi, the Time Travelers Wife, and the list could go on and on.

As for movies: Forrest Gump, Chicago, Little Miss Sunshine, Crash, Atonement...

Music: two favorite bands are U2 and Coldplay. I also like Jack Johnson, Tegan and Sara, the Counting Crows, Fleet Foxes, Explosions in the sky, Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the moon rise over the Moroccan sand dunes from a rooftop terrace while listening to the call to prayer ring out over the city of Fez.
