About Me

Come up to Alaska and gettcha sum!

Running barefoot with shaggy hair in the darkness of the night, wild, jumping, swigging red wine from the bottle, singing songs with the black mountain wolf, writing poetry to the moon - THAT's living

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.

Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I was scouted by the Mets. I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I’m bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I repair electrical appliances free of charge. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Paraguay.

I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening wear. I don’t perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number nine and won the weekend passes. Last summer I toured Mexico with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat .400. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. Children trust me.

I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing. I once read Paradise Lost, White Fang, and The Invisible Man in one day and still had time to help my grandmother build a birdhouse that evening. I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket. I sleep once a week; when I do sleep, I sleep standing up. While on vacation in Italy, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of physics do not apply to me.

I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. I have made extraordinary four-course meals using only a curling iron and a toaster oven. I breed prizewinning clams. I have won bullfights in Venezuela, cliff-diving competitions in Thailand, and spelling bees in New Zealand. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down.

But I have never stayed on your couch.

I want to squeeze every possible last drop of enjoyment out of this life before I drop dead

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent almost all of 2011 and 2012 in South America where I surfed with some very chill people in 6 different countries and hosted a bunch of guests in our house in Bogotá, Colombia. In 2014 I spent a half year backpacking through México which was a fabulous experience - I love Mexican culture and I surfed with some great people there. I am currently living in Alaska, where I hope to see a bunch of your shining frozen faces.

My experiences on couchsurfing have been very unique and humbling. It's amazing to connect with so many 'strangers' from across the globe. We are all alike much moreso than we are different. I am so fortunate to be able to travel - traveling is a luxury that many people simply do not have and I feel very grateful to have seen so many beautiful places and met so many interesting, open, awesome people a long the way.
