I've worked in business management for seven years. I got tired of meeting goals to fulfill corporate greed. I went back to school and finished a degree in Studio Art (sculpture) with a minor in Chinese. Now I work in local government reviewing commercial construction drawings for building permits. I'm always looking for new things to learn and experience. I'm interested in cultural history, cultural art, trying new foods, craft beers and friendly dogs.

Culture thrives in the hearts of its people. I think that there's no better way to really experience a new place than through connecting with those who live there. Even though I'm new to couchsurfing and international travel, I'm excited for the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

Intereses

I love trying anything new. I make it my mission to find the best local bars and restaurants of any area I visit. I'm passionate about good food, so I also cook when I get the chance.

I'm an art major so I love the chance to be part of creating something. Collaborations are fun. So are random photography trips. I draw. I doodle. I make little sculptures. When I'm not creating, I'm learning, researching or geeking out over someone else's work.

I like growing mushrooms. That is my new thing this year.

Música, películas y libros

My music preferences change regularly. It's not something that really drives me. I just like having noise in the background when I'm working on something.

For movies, I'm picky about plot, acting, cinematography and pretty much anything that drives a good story. As long as it's a great film, I will watch any genre and love it. My current favorite films are "Miss Pettigrew lives for a day" "Gone With The Wind" and "Booksmart".

My favorite Book is Dune from Frank Herbert. I also love Classical British Literature and Science Fiction short stories. Periodically, I will also read a manga!

I apprenticed at a farm once to learn how to train horses. The first time a sat in the saddle of one of the babies I was working with was amazing. It took a lot of work and patience to get to that point, but it was a cool experience to learn with them.
