CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to take a breather outside of the U.S.: experience new things, meet new people, and learn from the world who I want to become.

ABOUT ME

I'm a part-time philosopher, part-time realist. I am typically described as down to earth, and love to try new things. I am at a point in my life where I refuse to settle for anything, including a typical American lifestyle. I'm a Mexican-American, thus very close to family and culturally connected, but also non-traditional in my own ways.

PHILOSOPHY

I work hard everyday not to forge a personal philosophy that will close my mind or dictate my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have offered my couch up many times to new people; it's a great way to make new friends. I'm hoping to make friends the same way while I set off on a trip through Latin America

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't officially couchsurfed in the past, but have crashed with students when visiting schools. My best experiences were with students who wanted to make a new friend and (though its never expected) offered some guidance on my new surroundings.

My intellectual interests span in the environment, human behavior, nutrition, Africa, Latin America, politics, and women's issues.
The things I enjoy doing are trying new physical activities (kickboxing, pilates, yoga, rock climbing, you name it). Always love a good hike in the outdoors, camping, swimming anywhere, contemporary art, cooking, eating good food, and I really love getting to know new people. Also, sight-seeing! I like nature and history; I'm always keeping an eye out for my favorite plants or just the beauty in nature.
