Hello, I am Corine. I am 32 year old and live together with my partner Geert and my two cats Aska and Noori. We live in Medemblik, it's a little but touristic town in the north west of the Netherlands. I think this area is quite unique. I work as a primary school teacher and as gymnastics coach. If i have some spare time I like to do sports like gymnastics, karate, windsurfing, wavesurfing, mountainbiking or just running. But i also like to relax some time and watch a nice serie or movie.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I like traveling and meeting new people. When traveling i think it's very nice to meet people that are more used to the enviroment, they can give you the experiences that are unique. That's also the reason that we accept guests. When we have time we like to show people around, tell them stories and if necessary helping with planning and organising. The world is too beautiful to keep it for ourselfs.

Giving childeren the chance te learn (artistic) gymnastics in our home town
Kayakking in between Ice rocks at the Prince William Sound - Alaska.
Hiking the Salcantay Trail to Macchu Picchu - Peru.

We have a nice room with a double bed, if needed we also have blankets and pillows. We have one bathroom we have to share. If you like you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner with us. If you are lucky I will cook some traditional meal like boerenkool stampot ;)
If we have some spare time we can take you on a walk around the city. We can also do biking or kayakking around town. There is a lot to see and to do in Medemblik, like riding a steamtram or sailing on the IJsselmeer. There are a lot of nice museums about history in the neighbourhood. We can help planning and make reservations.
It's also possible to go to Amsterdam from our place, you have to take the bus and the train. The trip will take about 1 and a half hour.
But of course it is also fine to just hang around, have a cup of tea and have a nice conversation about live or if we do some community service, you are always welcome to help us out.

My experience as being a host and traveller myself, is that travellers always bring positive energy with them. Travellers are openminded and curious and give a positive vibe. I hope I can give the same experience to the hosts I will visit. And of course I have a lot of stories and experiences I don't mind to share in a nice conversation.
I am interested how people live their daily life in other countries and cultures, so i think it's a chance to help out if needed.
